Sara Companion HomeCare Services is pleased to announce that we provide our elite home care services to families requesting Pediatric Special Needs care including developmental disabilities.
For more than a decade, SARA has been caring for seniors and adults who need home care services. We received many calls requesting our services in the field of pediatric care. Spearheaded by our Director of Patient Services (DPS), who has many years of experience in pediatric nursing, we expanded our elite care services to children with special needs.
Our DPS personally provides the NYSDOH Pediatric Special Needs Training Program to our SARA certified home health aides. Along with teaching from the approved NYSDOH curriculum, she provides her knowledge and guidance from her years of experience in the field.
Only our top home health aides are selected to provide Pediatric Special Needs services ensuring exceptional care for each child.
- SARA certified Home Health Aides assist special needs children with mainstreaming
- Help prevent Caregiver Role Strain for parents
- Get the child ready for school and/or care for them after school including helping with homework
- Cares for non-school age children at home, while working with parents and professionals to improve developmental skills
- Certified HHAs provide if needed, personal assistance with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Our Home Care services follow the child’s schedule as determined by their parents
- Provide consistency of care for each child
- Attend to both the physical and mental health well-being of each child
- A SARA certified HHA in the home elevates the quality of life for the special needs child and their family
